In case anyone is interested, it seems that where I live (Ottawa, ON, Canada), the free trial period for Traffic Plus and Travel Link is, like the audio trial, 6 months long.
I got my ST from a dealer in Ottawa in May of 2020 and according to my newly created SiriusXM account, my complimentary trials for both audio and infotainment expire on November 1, 2020.

I've had mine for a year (Oct.31) and still have Travel Link active and I don't have a subscription for it. Just renewed my Sirius/XM music for another year though. With my previous vehicles, the Travel Link was just active once in a while for a week or so. It looks like things have changed as mentioned.
