Ok, maybe i'm just retarded or something. I have searched some, but probably not as much as I should have. What is the easiest way to trim the fenders? I got a set of 35x14.50 Boggers for $400, and now I can't turn sharp anymore. I knew it would happen, but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I don't want the x to look too bad when I do it, so I was trying to look for the way that would be the least "painful".

Do it with your two friends, Sharpie and the Sawzall:D. I did mine and they look pretty good. Ive done several of my friends vechicles also. Just take your time and dont rush it.

Heres what I trimmed and the piece comes off to make it easier. I used a hacksaw, then smoothed it out with a file.

I did mine with a cutting blade on a hand grinder, and folded some back to maintain some stability.
I`ve seen some other decent methods around here too.

There`s a little write-up in my mod thread with pics if you want to check it out. Find the page in the table of contents!

I found a grinder much easier than a sawzall. I agree that if you can you should fold it back to maintain strength.

thanks for the help. I have quite a bit to trim, so that should help me out quite a bit. Hopefully it will turn out ok

I'm actually thinking about seeing if I can get a couple of fenders from a junk yard and trying on those before anything. That way if I screw up, it doesn't hurt as bad.

It may be time for some Fiberglass with that wide of a tire.

that would be nice, but i'm trying to save money for a wedding right now

Aw man

:p Me too, but somehow I talked her into a honeymoon trip to Moab. SO obviously I have to spend money on the explorer first, just to make sure it is mechanically sound. And we aren`t sound unless we have a front locker in there!

woohoo

Moab would be an awesome honeymoon, but I'm looking at Cancun. Her boss can get us this deal to stay at a resort for 10 nights, food, airline, everything for $1800

That is the truth. That's why I'm thinking of buying another truck and using this for just a play truck.
