Trouble in Paradise for XM Radio

Well after having Serius Radio for a few days it is outstanding. It's like broadband internet once you have it you will never know how you made it with out it! Being from the tech industry neither XM or Serious are going anywhere. There are enough Auto manufactures, Audio company's, and other hardware manufactures that will make sure to keep them afloat untill it catches on more. Then it will be arround just like DSS and Cable.

xm is a waste in my opinion

XM

I hope XM or Sirus lasts. I think they will have to subsidize the equipment like Directv does, make the hardware very cheap or free in return for a contract on the service. The radio stations in WV SUCK (I just moved from Houston and thats one thing I miss the most!)

The inital high cost for the components is what has kept me from getting it... My reasoning?
1. My HU is XM ready.
2. I do drive in the country alot, going to and from
school, as well as going to friends schools to visit.
3. My school sucks, and our network is heavily blocked
to get music.
4. For some reason with me, I could listen to the radio,
and enjoy a song more, than if I had it on CD in the
vehicle (Im weird like that)
5. Chicago radio get boring after they replay the most
popular song about a billion times an hour.
6. It's another gizmo for me to have :)

If it goes under, before i get it... it'll suck, but wont ruin the world for me... Personally, I do hope it makes it, because if prices come down a bit more, i could be in the market!
