Here is the situation, I am trying to sell the X with a baby on the way. She has not been treated fairly over the last five years. Anyways I have had to replace the fuel pump work on the brakes and get a few odds and ends done. Well today I was on my way to get the last piece I needed and the truck just cut off. I am going to take a look at it a little better tomorrow but was hoping you all could help me out with some things to look for. I have swapped the relays around and added in a new one but they all seem to be working. FP is kicking on and running but still no start. I also tried to check spark but was alone and not sure if I believe what I saw. Sorry so long winded but any help would be greatly appreciated.

common mistake, cars never like to hear they are being sold. Did your ex hear you talk about selling it?
Try and check for spark, then try and see if any codes are coming up.

Well I got it fixed after laying in a gravel parking lot in 95 degrees. Turns out it was the crankshaft position sensor.

How did you fix it? Just curious

I just replaced the crankshaft sensor and it fired right up

Glad you got it fixed.Back in the 80's I was a GM tech, car would come in farting and missing and we would take a long bar,put it on the crank sensor, and tap it with a hammer....stall and never start again, new sensor ,good to go. Ya should have seen the look on the customers face when we did that. :D

I guess she does not like me talking about her. I had to replace the starter yesterday and prior to that the tach and Battery gauges died. My question is wether or not this is a fuse issue or if it is related to a bad battery cable. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Any ideas before i start replacing battery wire

well, you can pull fuses and look for blown ones. Other than that I'm not really sure.

Ok I am in need of some help. I just replaced the battery cable and this did not fix the tach or the battery light indicator. Here is what I have done so far: replaced fuel pump/filter, crankcase position sensor replace, new radio and new starter. somewhere between CPS and now the tach and battery gauge quit. Also prior to replacing the CPS i bought a new ignition coil and tried that but ended up just keeping the old as nothing was wrong with it.
