So it has been a very productive spring break for me. Once I got home I decided to tackle changing my thermostat and temp gauge sender so the gauge would work and voila! now it works. So I am pretty happy about that, but after that I decided to put on my shackles (autozone 4.99 ones, not warrior, but they don't actually seem cheap to me) and I did the TT and got the alignment. What I had really been waiting for though was my Pro Comp light bar to come in which came in yesterday. I got it for $122.95 shipped to my door! not bad if you ask me. Anyway, here are pics of how my explorer looks now. Let me know what you think!

Me likey! Looks sick!

When you giving it a test run?

hopefully sometime soon, but i have a feeling it won't be until i am out for the semester which is the end of april. Thanks for the comment btw, and please leave more comments everyone! Im curious what everyone thinks, even if you don't like it. Thanks!

Excellent Job! I love it! Looks like you have some adequate lighting!
Keep up the good work!

i wanted to ask a question too, when I did the torsion twist i tightened the drivers side all the way and barely had to touch the passengers side to make it even, does that make sense? I only got about 1.25-1.5" total. Thanks.

I really like that light bar, and where did you get it for that price? I would have so bought one for my ex for that price... Nice job, clean looking ex!

THat is a very good looking Ex. You will have to tell me how those Autozone Shackles perform. I am looking at getting some for the spring finally.

hunterdan, i got it on ebay actually but it is the exact same pro comp bar on summit for the $170 or so shipped. The guys ebay name is sportztrailers. The bar was 107.95 and 25.95 to ship it, I just had a $10 coupon.

Miller, I have had them on for about 5 days now and I can't feel any difference in the ride but it did raise my explorer. For the few bucks I would definately get them. Although some people say they aren't good they are a thick gauge and don't twist at all.

sportztrailers is who i bought all my stuff from, great company as far as i know.

how much drilling was involved for the light bar?

GT, there were 4 holes that needed to be drilled. The ones on the top of the bumper are not too hard to drill but the ones on the side are insane. It took me a long time, although I am using my dad's 30 years or older drill to do it haha. I will post a pic or two later when its not apocolypsing outside:D

yea i looked at those too. They are ebay for $55 but I just don't like them. I saw them on an ex at a junkyard a while back and it didn't do it for me. Plus not a lot of people have what I have and I like to be semi original, although I kinda stole this off someone else on the forum haha. :D

Yeah that was some crazy weather. I was out for a test drive and all of a sudden it just got pitch black and windy. Clean looking rig, you should have lots of fun with it

yea, i was out looking at all the flooding after, it was pretty intense

What lights are those on the bar? And do the roof lights shine on the hood at all? How are they in the night? Any pictures?

The lights were autozone 7" on sale. I loved them and they were like $8 but my sister backed into me and cracked one :( The roof lights don't shine on my hood because of how I have them angled but they are actually not on right now. I am probably going to put them back on tomorrow though as we are actually supposed to get snow on saturday. I think I have a picture of all the lights on somewhere on here but I am not sure where. I will take a picture or 2 tomorrow.

i put some autozone shackles on and they work well. it doesnt add alot of lift but its noticeable. probably about 2" or so

looks really good! everything turned out great. i love that pro comp light bar

This will decide my light setup, what's the max size light for that bar?

The Hella 500's are 6.375 in.
The Hella 1000's are 7.750 in.
