Worked with a gentleman (Levi Lish) that supports the DSM community to have these turbo blankets made for the Explorer/SHO/Ecoboost Flex turbos.
He built these off of a handful of pictures and measurements and I couldn’t have asked for a better company/person to work with on this!
The front turbo fit great! The rear turbo need a small adjustment and I’ll have that some time next week.
I installed the front turbo blanket while off the car and I believe you should be able to install it on the vehicle removing only the heat shield and the lower mount.
The rear I’ll be installing on the vehicle and it will likely require removing the downpipe to gain the needed access to the turbine housing.
