I own a 1999 X and recently while traveling to work in Michigans Beautiful Upper Peninsula I accumulated a large road booger (frozen road slush) that eventually dangled and pulled a large guage red wire from the tail light assembly down and accross the edge of the metal fender until it cut the wire and I had no turn signal, tail and brake lights were fine but no turn signal. No problem, simply re-connect the wire I thought! Wrong! Okay, check the fuze, maybe it shorted when the wire became exposed to the grounded metal of the fender! Wrong again! Now I'm no mechanic, certainly not when it comes to wiring/electrical issues. Is there a solinoid/toggle type fuze like thingie that could be the culprit? ya know, like the things that tic-toc when the signal is activated on older vehicles? I'm lost any help would be appreciated.
