My buddy was digging all the stuff I did and was doing to my Explorer so he just picked up a 2000 Explorer XLT v8 AWD Sport Pkg w/74K one owner miles for..............$1500. Only issues are the back glass needs to be fixed, there's a dent in the driver door right at the fender seam (no creases), and the standard rust on the sport running boards. The paint is showroom condition and the interior is so clean you could literally eat off of it.

Here's a couple pics

His plans include:
Exhaust
Intake
Bull bars
Audio system

He's now the third 2nd gen owner in my office, since our buddy Shaun has a 97 XLT SOHC.

WOW! That was a deal and a half for a clean one-owner '00 V8 AWD with only 74k on the clock. If I'd found it I would have snapped it up to keep or resell it. In GA that truck would have easily sold for $3k on Craig's List, as long as the underneath isn't too rusty. In the past year, I've converted my entire family to Gen II's. We love 'em (the V8's anyway) and my daughter has had two other people at work buy Gen II's in the past month after seeing hers. I've even considered making some extra money buying and fixing them up for resale.

You got him to buy a 2nd gen? Jeez, some friend you are.

Just kidding, it looks good. that's a great deal too.

Dang good deal! That is an easy 3500 here. 1500 doesn't buy much.

The deal he got is absolutely ridiculous. It was a friend of one of the guys we work with who buys and sells used cars and he just wanted to get it off his lot because he had no more room.

I took it around the block and it drives like a dream. It was deff babied.

Funny thing is I initially convinced him to come look at a 2006 Eddie Bauer 4.6L 4x4 out by me, but before he could get out here he got the call about the 2000.
