Underbody Lights Question

I am planning on ordering an underbody L.E.D. kit for my 00 Explorer. I was wondering if anyone had ever hooked it up with the lights under the mirrors when you unlock the doors with the keypad or keyless entry. If anyone has, please tell me how you did so please. Thank you. One more thing, where exactly did you mount them. I am doing a body lift and I don't want them to show. Should I put them right on the frame or somewhere else? Thanks

did u take ur running boards off? if not, u can mount the tubes right behind them, thats what i did, and all u see is glow, no tube or anything.

i would mount them to the body.... and all you need to do for the lights is tap into the dome circuit

Thats a good idea. I will do the body thing. But about the dome lights...I don't want it so when I click on my dome lights inside the cab that they will turn on as well. I will probably try to go through the mirrors. Thanks everyone.
