the other day I was cleaning my Explorer, and I was vacuuming behind the pedals, and in the grommet in the fire wall, I saw 2 wire wrapped in electrical tape, one green, and on white, they seem to be from the back, and the green one I assume grounds off somewhere, because I cannot find it, and the other goes over my rad support, in the sliced plastic tubing to my headlights. Now is this normal? I find it odd that Ford would just have 2 wires going though a large grommet, plus I figured it would just be with the other wires that come out of the harness. And, yes at the headlights they are spliced in.
I think somebody simply tapped into another circuit to power the headlights. So do Explorers have headlight problems? Or did the previous owners just have a lazy mechanic?
