Hey guys... I think I've came up with a idea, or it might have been done... anyways, I replaced my oil pressure switch for the 3rd time within 2 years due the gauge going crazy... I'm not a big fan of this switch (dumby gauge) What if you bought the sender for the autometer oil pressure gauge and used it with the stock gauge... then in a since get a real oil pressure reading??? maybe.... Please let me know what ya'll think???

Thanks, Jamie

I don't think this is possible on 2nd gens. due to something within the gauge cluster. People have tried to make that functional but I haven't seen any sucessfull attempts at it yet.

The AM sensor will report the wrong signal and is not compatible with the stock gauges. There is a way to make the stock gauge more accurate I thought... couldn't you take the cluster out and remove a resistor and use the stock oil pressure sendor from another vehicle? I know it was on here somewhere, just search.

I have read somewhere that it can be done, but there is a resistor you either have to add or remove from the gauge...
