hello everyone. I have a '98 2wd that needs uca's,. I've found two types for the pass side, and was wondering if the two piece arms are interchageable with the one piece. It has the adjustable two piece. I appreciate any advice.

Much easier and less expensive staying with the two-piece design.
Mark the bolt positions and replace with the Moog K8710T. Drivers
side the K80068. Two pricey camber kits or front alignment shouldn't
be needed, but it wouldn't hurt to get a free alignment inspection. GL

You know, that makes more sense to me, too. I'll check the Moog. I like their quality. thanks.

That's if your passenger UCA bushings are intact, and they usually are.
It's almost always a worn ball joint or torn boot. Another benefit of the
two-piece is more CASTER adjustment. Check RockAuto or Amazon pricing.

My UCA bushings on the passengers side were still good, so I just replaced the half-part of the control arm/ball joint. Was very easy.
The drivers side is another story. Not only you have to replace the entire arm, but getting those bolts out are a PITA.

If you plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time, it may be worth replacing the two-piece arm with a one piece - this gets you fresh control arm bushings, and the option to install the cam bolt kit.

The passenger side isn't tough to do because there's plenty of access. Driver's side is far more difficult. Be prepared to swear. You'll need to loosen the fuel lines around the bolt to get it out.

Ditto on the drivers side UCA. Removing that control arm bolt was the single most frustrating
thing I've ever had to do to my ST. More tantrums than the drivers rear upper shock bolt.
