Need a little bit of help on my 97 Explorer 4D XLT. No dash, parking, or license plate lights. Turning on the headlights to 'park' position turns the headlights on only.

Ok . I know where to start... I had been pulling a trailer this weekend, with only a tow package wiring kit. I've needed to find a 3-way splitter to plug the original lights, plus the trailer kit back into the original male plug. Local auto stores didn't have this.) When I pulled the trailer, all i had were brake lights and the signals would make all the lights on the trailer flash... no big deal, out and about in the daylight. However, now that I'm plugging the 'stock' wiring back in, nothing has changed... i should have all the lights back.. is there a fuse i can look for that does all the above listed lights? Thank you! Need to be able to drive in the dark again!

I would start by checking all fuses in the Passenger Compartment Fuse Box & the Power Distribution Fuse Box.

Fuse info is contained in the Owner's Manual, but isn't always as detailed as we would like. That's why I suggest checking all fuses.

If you don't have an owner's manual, Dead Link Removed.

Good luck getting it sorted.

in most automotive applications, all the lights you refer to are on the same circut. it could very well be a fuse or broken wire.

15 amp fuse inside panel, identified, blown, and replaced. Thank you all!
