CobraXP: you shoulda seen the rooster tails Greg was making with only 2wd and putting it to the floorboard. Gee I wonder why his tranny/transfercase shattered

Next time we go and its planned I'll give ya a call. I may go again up to the B tonight to have a little bonfire. Its been a very crappy week and wouldn't mind getting some stress out on the trails.

I just got my exploder running and I'm up at the B almost every weekend! (I live in bountiful.) We usually have a party up there on saturday nights so if any of you guys wanna join us lemme know. Don't drink if you plan on going home the same night

Today is saturday the 22nd, and me and my buddy are taking a couple chicks, an explorer, and a couple bottles of booze up to the B if anyone wants to join us up there. We're leaving my house at around 6:00 pm tonight. If you need directions on how to get to the B here they are:
If heading northbound, take the 400 north exit and go east up 400 north for a loooooooong time and eventually you'll see that you are going up a big hill and the B keeps looking bigger and bigger. After that, you can probably find your own way. If you're going southbound take the 5th south exit and backtrack a bit to 400 north and do the same thing. I don't remember the rest of the roads because I just sorta drive toward the B till I get there.

ah. Well its pretty damn muddy up there. I crawled up some stuff I can normaly do and damn near rolled my truck today.

Once you get to the big ass mud put look to the hills that you can climb. There are some muddy tracks through grass on a freaking STEEP ass slope. Thoes are mine trying to back down the hill without rolling. It was so steep I ended up plowing my back bumper into the ground.

DAMN ITS WET UP THERE! It must of rained all night because the mud pit is 100% full

LOL! I'm actually laughing out loud buddy. I've been in your situation up there before. Last winter I slid sideways into the ditch when a snowmobile thought it would be funny to try and run into me. I was stuck in that damn ditch for a couple hours while I waited for a buddy to pull me out. He then got stuck in that SAME DAMN DITCH driving up to get me. So I walked down to help dig him out, but no dice. I called an uncle who drove me home and the next day I called another uncle who took me up and pulled out my car, so that I could go to work. (He owns the company I work for.) Talk about calling in late! At least he knows I didn't make it up.

I'm heading up there in about 15 minutes I'm going to be at buckland flats probably and I'm bring firewood and a jacket. Oh yeah, and munchies. Mmmmmm, munchies!!!

is buckland flats the 2nd mud pit area up oldward trail?

or is it up a bit were oldward trail ends and meeds with the main road? (there is a grassy area/mud pit up there surrounded by rocks, my friends K5 has been stuck their TWICE)

If you drive up the dirt road that goes past the B at about 20-25 MPH, you'll hit buckland like 20 minutes from when you pass the B. There is a brown sign on the right hand side that says "Buckland Flats" or something like that, with a picture of a tent and a 4x4 or something I forget. Anyway lots of campground up there. How old are you? If you're old enough maybe you can come wheelin' and partyin' with us.

Possibly going up to the farmington peak towers Tomorrow for some mild wheeling and to watch the air show. It will be My wife and I in my ride and my friend and his wife in his 97' F-150. I'm gona take my camera and take pics hopefully they turn out good and I'll post some of them. If any of you guys are in the area and want to meet up post tonight and I'll check here before I leave.

Camping and the air show

dude I just got back from the B and it's raining. stupid rain. I'm going to take my brother and sister camping tomorrow possibly, but if they can't come maybe I'll get some weiners and marshmallows and pop and meet you guys up there. e-mail me and I'll give you my # or vice versa if you wanna meet up there.

just got back from the B

well, we went camping last night (saturday) and it was awesome. we went wayyyyyyyyy up past the B. Like wayyyyyyyyy up there. I went up the biggest hill I've ever climbed in my explorer... Felt like we were in a rocket ship. My new Big Foot A/T tires rock! Some idiots had their stereos BLASTING until about 4 in the morning keeping us awake, so to return the favor I woke up around 8 in the morning and blasted mine... Full blast... With 12's blaring.

Then I watched one of them walking over (to tell me to turn it down?) and a park ranger stopped him and wrote him a ticket for not having his 4 wheeler registered. Man that rocked. I love the B!

Hah nice. We didn't end up going untill later. We went up the Farmington side all the way to the towers. Then took some kick ass muddy/hill climb back trails.

Had a camp fire for about 3 hours then headed back down. It was amazing to see how many people were around and about last night!.

Agreed

LOTS of people. Lots and lots. I drove up the road until it was washed out and I was afraid if I went any further I'd roll right down the mountain it got so bad. So I made the mistake of turning around and going back to a campsite instead of pitching the tent right there.
