v6 - v8 swap

i blew my v6 up in my 2001 x, i want to put a v8 in it... what i need to know is, what motor will bolt up with the automatic transmission that i already have in my x... (even though id rather find one with a manual trans.) any help with this topic is greatly appreciated! thanks...

V8 will not bolt up to your transmission.

I think 01 was the last year of the 5.0L in the Explorer, so youbasically are looking at using a 01 5.0L V8 drivetrain. This is a big conversion, but it can be done.
