V8 but not all wheel drive?

It's like Eric said. The badge was used on all 96-97 V8 Explorers both 2wd & AWD. My '97 AWD Mountaineer has that badge on it.

It's just a style thing guys. Seems like in 98 they went with the chrome V8 logo.

Nope- at least it's not the one on my '97 Ex.

Not arguing, just interested in the discussion- from seeing these things all over that there are 3 factory V8 badges...

V8, V8 all wheel drive, and the newer separate character chrome V8 badges.

Might have been a supplier change, or a mid-year badging change?

Hmm? Maybe that is the one I have. I'll have to look when I get home. Shows you how much attention I pay to the badge : I really one to remove them honestly as I think they look tacky.

I agree- I don't like these jelly badges either.

I'm deciding if I should put on the newer V8 badges, or the V8 badges that are on the newer Ex's...

95-97 V8 AWD badge and 98-01 it just says V8. 02+ has the old school V8 badge and it would say RSC on the back..whenever that started..im pretty sure 02.
