2000 Explorer 5.0 all wheel drive transfer case swap

[Quality] manual hubs are good for applications like winters deep in the north, or off-road. Where I live, real world driving means that after the storm the roads are a patchwork of clear and nasty, depending on the plows. Forget stopping to lock and unlock.

I have manual hubs on
My bronco my 97 f350 my 86 f250 and our 2000 excursion. We live off road back in the woods right now there is 5’ of snow. I leave the hubs locked from December through March and just switch in and out of 4x4 at will. If everything is working properly and in good shape you will notice a noise under the drivers feet and possibly some heavier steering, otherwise you would barely know the hubs are locked
