'96 Limited 5.0 2wd - 3.73s - Steel Wheels - 30"s

15.5 mpg 50/50

Robb

btw: it needs a good tune-up

2000 5.0 Mounty 2wd, 15-16 in city, 21 on highway at about 80mph so:D

Filled up the other day and got 15.7 all city.

I got about 14-15 on a trip to tahoe last week. That was a lot of mountain driving, windy roads, 5" lift, 32s, 373s, HUGE snowboard rack with boards.

I get between 17-22 on the highway and 12-15 in the city, all depending on weather and driving style. I usually get 13-16 in mixed driving.

10-13 in the city.. but it is neg temp here right now.. and prob 16-20 on the highway.. wtih awd

average is 11 to 12 MPG

Is so friggin slow, so I have to get into the throttle deep just to get it to move out of it's own way quite often.

wow frank.. with your 2wd i would think ud get better gas mileage

I get around 12-13 with mixed driving and get about 15-16 highway

same as above

same... ****ty.

15-16 all local (city?)

hrbib21:

Yeah, city means exactly what you mean by "local". Anywhere except going straight down the highway.

usually average 15 city, and 20-21 traveling. i have never seen under 20.3 on a trip, and thats with the cruise set between 75-80. 3:73's (of course) and stock height tires (28").

am i the only one that thinks Rizzo possibly has a "Darkfox" explorer?

i dont know if thats possible james.. darkfox does has one unique truck

14-16 mpg around town...20-21mpg highway @ 65mph. 13-14 mpg towing a 3800 lb travel trailer. Hope to do even better now that new FMS headers are on. Surprised it even ran at all with those OE header ports so small and overall OE header quality so poor! Mike

Pre-Apten combined = 15.8.
Post-Apten combined = 16.8.

1999 XLT

I get about 17-18 mpg daily driving. Used to get 16-17 mpg but mileage improved since switching to synthetic oil.

I was gonna say the same thing:p

Find it funny how some of you have mods that should increase mpg, ours is stock and driven with lead feet in the city and I get about what most of you get on the highway, I love it:D .

I get the same mpg as James at the same speed on the highway, think we have the only normal ones that get good mpg for a 5.0 Truck with no "power" problems lol.
