V8 Xplorer decent tow rig for my X

IM trying to find a tow rig for my truck and would like a diesel but i noticed some people here on the board are using there 5.0 explorer as a tow rig. How does the 5.0 due when towing a 5,000 pound explorer? V8 explorers are alot cheaper than a diesel and i would like to have 2 explorers. Looking for opinions, Thanks

You couldnt find a way for it to pass emissions huh? That sucks. Sorry, I cant answer your original Q.

JohnStone and Myself use our 5.0 Limited's to tow with. With some upgrades and guages to closely monitor your temps and fluids you should be fine.
I would recomend using a sway control and load leveler on your trailer. Also a god brake controller is a must.
