I have rebuilt the engine on my 97 explorer sport (4.0 sohc).
when I put the engine back in I laid the wiring harness in place (including the associated vaccuum hoses). most everything just laid in place, or so I thought. After changing the dpfe, egr valve, o2 sensor, thoroughly cleaning the MAF sensor I stopped into the local Autozone and the guy there offered to take a look at the problem after I asked if he would pull up the error codes.
He turns the key to ON, then reads like 12 codes ( it was previously two). so he pops the hood, finds a hose on the back of the intake that had come loose. fixed that. next we hear a sucking sound on the drivers side of the engine. we look and look. See nothing. try spraying carb cleaner around. nothing. Then, out of a whim, he pulls the egr hose and plugs it. sound goes away.

He next guesses that the routing of the vaccuum lines is messed up.

After all that, here's the question.....in all the info here on this forum. Where can I find info on the routing of the vaccuum lines?

any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
