vacum line help

i have a 92 explorer and it over heats but i found a hose diconnected from my throtle body and it goes to 2 small sqaure bottle and the line has something small and electric on it could this be part of my overheating problem ty very much and sorry about the spelling ty Sean28716nc

sounds like your describing your evap system it vents away fumes back in to the gas tank .some pics would be helpfull but i don't know if that would cause an over heating issue. have you flushed the system ,checked or replaced the thermo stat? do you have the correct mix in the radiator?

It sounds like you're talking about the vacuum line going to the evap canister. But it's kind of hard to tell without a picture. If you could post a picture that would help. But I don't think that this is related to the overheating condition. What have you done so far to try and stop the overheating? I would start by flushing out the radiator and changing out the thermostat.

Edit:boggs1227 beat me to it. Well I back up what he said considering I posted the exact same information.

i dont have a pic of it now but these jugs are on the left side bolted right about behind the headlight and ive put in a new radiator thermastat clutch fan and i can think of only the water pump or headgasket and i cant see the water move in the radiator nor do i see bubbles in the radiator im stumped ty

As already mentioned that is part of the evap system.. and with it disconnected you could have a slight vacuum leak, but I doubt enough to make it overheat...

Assuming you don't already have an overheating thread....
what are your overheating symptons? At idle, when on the freeway? with or without the a/c?

it sits in the yard and i run it for about 10 mins, with the are off and it will slowly move its way up by the l on normal ty
