Valve Body Question

Hello all,
I just bought my 2002 explorer and shes got about 100k on her. Well I am noticing the 2-3 flair. As of right now, I ordered the shift kit and a repair manual. I am going to be ordering the EPC solenoid and possible a solenoid block. My question is, I am wanting to do all this myself and I am wondering how difficult it acutally is. About how long will it take me? I am very mechanical and I think I can do it, I just want to see what you guys think. I have a good amount of tools and I am researching as much as possible. On a difficulty level, what would you rate working on the valve body?

forgot to add, its a 5R55w transmission, 4.6L XLT

For a beginner, a VB is a high number as far as difficulty, but if you review all of the plans in advance, you will be more familiar with it. http://www.800700tran.com/ has the lowest price on a valve body & a solenoid block.

One member on this site used them, and they actually gave him some parts at a lower price accidentally. Some parts were slightly higher in price, but over all, he managed to get a good deal.
