vibration/noise with wheel turned hard

i would bet that the answer to this post is already somewhere here,
but I am not sure what to search for,,

when I turn the wheel on my 95 xlt there is a rattling/vibrating noise coming
form the front end somewhere,,, any suggestions on what I should check?

First thing to check is to disconnect the transfer case's electrical connectors -- this would verify whether or not the vehicle is going into 4HI when its not supposed to.
