They're probably the same size. For the rear, you reuse the bottom bolt. But all the other ones you probably have new ones so I could just use those.

On autoanything.com the bilstien heavy dutys were only $132.70 free shipping only $12 more than what I seem the ranchos for and I'm is ring the same damper as you all my shocks are stock and when I squeeze them w my hand the crumble I can't wait till my orders arrive this week

I want to eventually get the 5100 series Bilsteins which are about on average $88 each

I know I use the stock lower if its good but the new tops just seem small I'm still gonna use them and I was lookin at the 4600 and 5100 but the heavy dutys seemed better for on or off road the 4600 is mainly road and 5100 is mainly off road plus the heavy dutys are great for towing I plan on treating the X like I treat my Z71 but the X is more for woods since its smaller so I can tow our quads farther in the trail plus I rely on my truck for work so can't really take it fully off roading the way I have that set up

But is it recommended to do a rear alignment after installing the rear shocks??

So I just installed mine what a ***** those back bolts lol but as of now I have a 2" lift I know it'll drop once they settle but man what a difference

There isn't really anything to align on the rear. You have a solid axle that is located by the springs. By the way, if you like the way they lifted your back end up to make up for the way your springs were sagging, just wait until you compare the ride quality with them off road to your stock shocks. It is going to be a slightly firmer ride, but those shocks feel so much better when they soak up the bumps.

In your opinion, what difference did the rear axle dampener actually make?
My Ltd bucks from side to side a bit, I was wondering if the dampener had anything to do with that.

I'm not sure whether to keep the standard air shocks and add some accessory shocks for better control or to replace the air shocks and add some sort of accessory air lifting device.

The biggest difference I felt after replacing my axle dampener was on gravel. Before when I was driving at higher speeds over soft and uneven surfaces, there was a lot more sway, but it feels far more planted now. I did replace it separately from my shocks, so I can say that I noticed a difference.

If you are replacing a bunch of stuff back there anyway, I'd also recommend throwing in sway bar and endlink bushings too. They aren't expensive, and you'd never believe how worn out your 13+ year old ones will feel compared to new.

I was thinking about replacing them as well my fronts should be here today damper Friday then ill finally put on the shackles and di the TT then valve cover gasket next week this truck is lovin all the love lol

And yea much better off road these are great shocks

I was searching for this thread since I'm going to be installing mine this weekend.
But, your video no longer works?!
