Vinyl Dash Kit

So i've always wanted to have my dash the color of my car/a contrasting color, but I didn't want to paint in case I screwed something up...I found this site http://www.autoaccessorystore.com/h...ame=Dash Trim Kits&sec_id=&sec_name=&wizard=1

They make vinyl kits and i went through the options and it came out to like 39.99 + shipping for 11 pieces for the Explorer. Whatta ya guys think about these? They attach using 3m tape, u'd think it'd fall off but i saw the guy on TRUCKS! put a kit on a truck a couple weeks back, when I get some cash I'm thinking about getting that solid red one....Guys think it would look nice? Or Ricey

That's a lot of money for a sticker.. I'm sure its a ***** to get it on properly. And I too feel it is ricey

One advantage of using the vynil would be that if you don't like the look or get tired of the look you can remove it without damaging anything, where as painting you have to repaint or have to get new pieces.

yea i'm kinda thinking i wanna just try it, and if not then o well, 40$ isn't to much to blow especially if u can take it off and not have screwed it up permanent

Would it leave a gummy sticky crap behind like some stickers do? that might be worse than paint

If you do before me POST SOME PICS!! btw they have a solid color chart and like 5 or 6 shades of red, and a address to mail for samples, might be a good idea colors never look the same on the computer screen

i bought the 11 piece set for 49.00$ i'll get some pictures up when it comes, the only thing it's missing is the center console portion, but if i like this I think i'mma buy that 2. I can't wait for it to come in!!

Update...I got the pieces, didn't realize they would truly be stickers...literally I don't like them at all and I haven't even put them on, i'm gonna return them on a few pieces like the center console...you'd think they'd be big enough to wrap around the edges to cover all the black...but no it's just for the top very cheap AND ricey looking now that i've seen them, o well i'll be happy to get my 49.99 back =]
