Does anyone know if Visors are universal fit? I have an 05 explorer and have been looking to upgrade the visors to the homelink. Having trouble finding an 05, much less a 3rd gen. visor out there. Seems like most visors on ebay are from 2000 or 2001.

Thanks

My '04 Eddie Bauer has the Homelink in the overhead console, not on the visor, which is how it is for all of the 3rd gens if I'm not mistaken. Then again, I could be wrong.

hmmm, guess that's why there are none on ebay. I guess now the question definitely is, will 2nd gen visors work on a 3rd gen?

I have seen on here somewhere where the individual had "homelinks" for sale.
He had a few that were not installed in anything, and a pic of where he installed his on the drivers side headliner, just above the drivers door.
Check out the "parts forsale" threads. I want to say I saw it a few weeks back.
Found it!

I put '98's in my '06.
Screwed right in.

But when looking between our x's it appears that the older ones are smaller, skip would have to elaborate, but if you don't care about size then problem solved
