Volant Owners, need help?

i believe that spindlecone made a sorta snorkle on his sporttrac, he has a shopvac hose come down from the intake area and it draws the air from where his passenger side foglight would be

Al, I have watched my Scan gauge while at work. My IAT runs from 5-10 degrees over outside temp.(above 30mph), to 40 degrees hotter than outside temperature. At low speeds, the inlet air is heated dramatically, most likely from the air cleaner box itself.

Possibly a less restrictive inlet(behind the headlight) might lower the IAT at all speeds. Look at the inlet to the air cleaner, it is too small. A better inlet from the air cleaner forward would help. Keep us updated, regards.

Lazzman,

Can you email me the link for the instructions for the Temp Sensor on the K&N site?

Thanks.

 I know what you mean my kit did not come with one of the larger Stainless hose clamps instead they sent three smaller ones. Also there is no instruction for people with the Temperature Sensor, had to bum it off the K&N site and I still need to find a rubber grommet... Man, after waiting so long for this thing its turned out to be a drag.
