VSS Signal tap where?

i have the temp gauge and compass on the ceiling (? hehe) console.. i can try tapping there right before the harness that plugs into the console.. are you referring to the one on the ecm box behind the radio? i tried that one already with problematic results.. is there another one just for aftermarket radios ranger7ltr?

The overhead console is one place...

that has the vss signal feed according to my ford service manual.. The other is one of the factory radio connectors...

I installed an overhead console in my Sport and tapped off the radio wire that is for the vss signal...I haven't seen any issues yet but I don't expect any from the connection either..

I found this info in the EVTM section of my 99 Ford service cd...
