alright ive read everyone's posts i think about warrior shackles and ive now decieded i should put them on my 98 xlt..but the problem is that i tow a 4000pound boat during the summer. am i gonna have a problem with the flex on my leaf springs ?

Sortof.

I'd like to start of by welcoming you to the site. You will find any and all info all right here.

As for the shackles. For some reason they tend to "flatten" the springs out. We don't know why or if they really are flattened out. It's all a mystry to us. I can say that a trailer will not help the springs with the shackles on them. I've had my springs flexing the wrong way a few times, and the ride is starting to go along with it. In my opion....add-a-leaf may be the better way to go with something heavy. This is going against what I've said in the past, it's just for some things the newer shackles aren't as good. For off-highway though.....shackles all the way.
