Not sure if anyone else has an aftermarket locking gas cap, but if you do, do you find that sometimes after you remove it, water starts dripping out of it?

I really don't think it's getting into the gas tank... it seems to seal fine and there's no CEL. I'll usually see this after a heavy rain or so (like the torrential downpours we had late yesterday and early today).

I do keep the lid closed and I know there's no real seal on that, but I never had this problem with the Vic.

It's more than likely condensation forming around the lock tubbler assembly inside and accumulating... Either that, or it's collecting around the vent... Either way, it's not going to cause any damage. I've been running mine on my F-150 for more than 7 years with no issues...

We're into are 4th or 5th day of heavy rain in recent weeks, probably twice that since I bought the cap and I've had no issues with water.

I get it on both vehicles, and it doesn't rain here. Both are aftermarket caps...

Hmm, on second thought that may be more like it... I've noticed that it does happen sometimes even when I don't think it has rained.

The cap I had before was a Stant, this one is something I got from O'Reilly Auto Parts and doesn't have a name on it. I think the Stant one was a better quality part, tho.
