Not sure how detailed you want to get, but if you have stock amps/subwoofer, thats gotta go, lose the front carpeting, and if you really wanna shave a few pounds, check and see if there is any undercoating under the truck, if there is, get under there with a grinder/wire wheel, and grinde it all off and just use paint to protect the metal. We did that on our race car and lost about 30 lbs...Good luck!

Any consoles, glove box, ashtray, delete the A/C :) , take the water out of your windshield washer tanks....

best easy one to do... run a 1/4 tank of gas.

think of it like this- every 100lbs is worth 0.1 second in the quarter.

like alec said delete the a/c we used to get shortbelts that deleted a/c and power steering. i guess if your really into losing weight you could yank the bumpers.

cant run bumperless at the track, they have certain basic safety guidelines.

Thanks guys

The a/c seems a little more complicated than I want to get right now, although i did unplug it. Glove box is out. Center console is staying in (it holds my switches for my chip, nos, 2wd switch.

With the gas thing the track is 125 miles from my house. I plan on going up with a half tank, getting some 100 octane at the track and filling up with regular 93 on the way back home.

I got flamed for it before, but if you wanna loose weight, take off the skidplates...LOL They ARE thick steel plates....

The spare tire winch is also a few pounds.

Body moldings.

Um, still thinking ;)

Did you take off the liftgate plastic, and the wipers?

You have a 2wd switch? That means you have 4x4 ;)

Take out the front drivetrain!

The spare tire winch came out with the spare tire. The lift gate plastic is off and the wipers will come off.

Alec I did that 2wd mod thingy the front drive train would be nice to take out but that looks like alot of work.

I assume you pulled the rear washer stuff? Roof rack tracks. Antenna stuff. Headlight access plastic things. Thats a very sad list indeed. Maybe I'll go lok at the Ex for ideas.

lose the cruise control canister......

what about the tailgate, jsut take it off!!! :)

Just remember you can buy someones spare donuts and run them as skinnies if ya want. ;) Give ya some more wind and weight reduction!!! If i were you since you wont be running an 11.99 or lower i would just cut your roof off and make it a convertable. That is worth at least another 200 or so pounds!!! Right Jimabena??? Man i am good at this weight reduction. Then maybe you can take your exhaust system off and just run your manifolds. Free up at least another 200 horsepower!!! And another 30 pounds weight. Heck with the stuff i am having you doing you might see 11's yet!!! hehe. :D

Rear washer crap is gone, cruise control is gone, roof racks gone. I also am borrowing some light weight rims and some drag radials ( I currently have 31's). Ummm rocket 5979 remind me to keep you away from my truck. ;)

The skid plates coming off actually seem like a good idea. Maybe I will pull those off at the track.

Im not to sure I like the way your going about this though. :p If I really wanted 11's I would swap out that nice 351w I have sitting in my garage.

Rydinhigh,

Are you trying to knock .27 sec off your 1/4mi times to dip in the 13's?

How 'bout go on a diet.(no offense, I don't know what you look like). Then, don't eat before the race, and be sure to piss and take a dump. I'm serious! Every lb counts!

I reread the above, and it sounds sarcastic, but it's not intended to be. Please don't take it that way!:)
