Weird PCM issues? I have bad news...

^ Mostly happening an inch from the connectors though, seems as likely to be brittle insulation and cracking where it bends, since rodents don't usually have rulers with them to measure an inch.
thats either rodent damage of 4 legs or possible 2 legged kind depending on what type of shops you have in the area
If there's a rodent in Tennessee that chews the same wires on 6 different cars in the exact same place I'll take my tin foil hat off and now believe the rodents can communicate and ARE out to get us.

Stuff like this happens when you use parts from the lowest bidder to make a vehicle. Sadly, but true this is how all cars are made within the past 30 yrs or more. As time progressed the money squeezing has gotten worse. End product is unreliability . The all mighty dollar calls the shots.

Any evidence of pin probe holes from previous troubleshooting? ( 2 leg rodent)

But why would they even probe that close to the connector, when an inch away you can backprobe the connector itself? Then again, there is no accounting for what happens in some shops.

Maybe you know the engineer that designed the Sunroof Drains on the Freestyle? Someone taught that idiot that water runs uphill.

I have no idea what a lot of Ford engineers smoke when coming up with a lot of their designs. What ever it is it must be some strong stuff.o_O

rodents usually bite wherever, unless this is some smart rodent that has a measuring tape ;) wiring usually for me tends to deteriorate first on "connections" such as at the connector there, as sometimes its a flex point, and soemtimes not sure why but its just weaker. im highly oubtful its any act of a sentient being, just use and wear. plus iirc the 4th gens (not sure which years) had wirign deterioration issues. at least they aint made of soy!🤣🤣🤣 if ya still scared of rats, try that habanero tape from honda
