I have a 96 Explorer XLT 4WD with a 4.0. It has around 212k miles on it. I bought a few months ago and shifting was kind of jerky sometimes. Transmission filter and fluid was changed last year. The other day it just quit moving while driving it. No noise's or any dash lights. It just wont move unless you floor it, it will crawl. Won't move in any gear or even in 4wd. Ive been calling shops and all they want to do is replace the transmission. Is there possibly something that can be fixed thats causing this or should I just have the transmission replaced?
