So I have this explorer that I've owned for the last 14 years and have put 5 transmissions in. Last one I had rebuilt, and shortly after it started turning on the wrench then stopped going in drive. Now it starts fine at engine but to take off I put it in 1 then wait for it to slam in, then take off. At 15 I switch to 3rd and get to just over 40mph. Then I switch to drive and rev in it 3 times it turns on the wrench then goes down into gear. From there I can drive normally unless I drop below 15 at which point it stays in low range gears to 40 mph then I switch to neutral it drops gear then back to drive and it's normal again. Also when I have these issues reverse doesn’t work and it’s a mostly constant problem but will sometimes just work normally. I'd really appreciate some insight on this as this time I'm going to fix it myself and hope I don't keep having these transmission issues. This is the 2009 ford explorer 4 liter with 5R55S transmission
