weres the ac switch on a 97 mounty??

well my compressor does not turn on when i turn on the switch its got freon in there alot but still wont kick on ...i already tested the compressor and it works with a hot cable ......weres the switch that sends the power for the ac clutch i think thats my problem....anyone know weres is at??? any pics of it??? can it be fixed without leaking all the freon out??? any shortcuts??

when you say "hot cable"... I assume you mean running a 12v wire to the compressor... right? Another test is to short the contacts at the pressure switch which is near the firewall / low side pressure area. If the compressor turns on, then the wiring is good and the pressure switch is a "candidate" for your problem.
