Go to a stereo store and listen to quitw a few and pick what sounds nest to you, after all, YOU are the one who will be listening to them.

Good luck.....

I have audiobahn plate speakers and I love them.Polk and planet audio are good too

I agree w/ aldive on this one. Everyone has there likes and dislikes. Also what sounds good to you might not sound good to others so get what you think sounds good. You'll be the main person listening to them anyways. Nothing like haveing bad speakers just b/c others have them. Thats my $0.02.

Lata, Davo

Alot depends on your headunit too

are you going to run them off an amp or just the headunit?

I really haven't decided yet. Probaly just the head unit for now. But just for 5x7 do i really need a sub?

what i am really asking are there any 5x7's that pull enough to need a amp (not a sub)?

I have audiobahn plate speakers 120rms and I have maybe 25 watts going to them and they sound great.

most 5X7s wont need an amp. but they will sound better with one. but if you are going to run them off the headunit, then get efficient speakers that can handle more power if you ever plan on upgrading. like brad mentioned, Audiobahn speakers sound really good off the headunit. and they can also handle over 100 watts RMS.

when you look at speakers, look at the rms rating. peak rating is useless.

It depends on how you define "best"
like someone said . the best to me, maybe major play on price and minor on SQ and other things.
I don't know if i speak for others but the first thing i look at when i am browsing for new stuff is price..so "best" to me would be a good standing company reputation, along with a decent price, and some of the specs that i am looking to get out of them.....
it all depends on what your going for....so basically there is no right answer

man you sure thought that one out didn't ya. lol just playing w/ ya
