I want to use a pair of 9007 headlight bulbs for my explorer that have that nice blue/white beam. What brand or name should i buy? Im not looking for the h.i.d. conversion because thosr are expensive. There is a lot of these bulbs on e-bay for around $20.00.Thats the price range im in. Between $20-$30. I want a lot of blue tint though.

I have Phillips Crystal Vision, and they helped a lot but are not really blue. They are definately whiter but not blue, only from a certain angle. Im sure you have heard of Sylvania Silverstars. A lot of people have those and they work great, but again, are not very blue just white.

You can buy really bright ones from autozone or any parts store, but they are for offroad use only and wont pass inspection.

YEA,I believe i have some silverstars the most expensive ones autozone had. they cost $40.00 and the lens is blue but the light is just mostly white.I know the ones you're talkin bout for off road use only.

Heres a little info from the lighting forum: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178127

I have the Silverstars and love them until I get a HID kit. They are a nice white on the road but looking at them you can see shades of green and purple in places. I have diamond clear headlights and blinker housings too, with Silverstar blinker bulbs and a 4-led 194 bulb from Autozone in the upper corners. Looks sweet on and off!
