if you want to protect the paint i suggest not getting a bra for the front at all.

a bra will hide the paint under it from the sun , if you leave it on long enough, when you do decide to remove it you have paint that has different levels of sun faded.

be smart don't buy one

but if i don't buy one, all the rocks and insects will surely chip my paint away...

cuz i'll be hitting the highway big time this month's end.

Buy a bugguard for the front. I drive on the highway all the time and haven't chipped up my front end. Bras are the devil. Very bad. I had one before on my car and they just soak up the water from rain and snow. Not a good thing.

As mentioned before, bras will destroy your paint faster than any bug or rock. If you are conserned about protecting your paint you should look for anyone in your local aera that installs "clear bras." The clear bra is a vinal overlay that is applied to the front of the vehicle to protect the paint. It is not perminant and will not hurt the paint.

Definitely stay away from the car bra's. As said before, they can mess up your paint a lot worse than some bugs or rocks. The Bugflectors do wonders for protecting the leading edge of your hood from bugs and rock chips.

I really don't see a problem with putting them on if your just using it during your road trip. If your only gonna have it on a week or two, it's not gonna make a difference. I had one on my X for 2 weeks for a trip to Florida.....saved many a bugs from being splatterd on the grill or imbedded in my radiator. I used the Wolf brand.

Try not the use the bra. The dirt and whatever trapped under the bra will totally destroy your paint because of the sandpaper action from the dirt and powered by the wind.

3M's Paint Protection film is awesome according to a lot of people on the other message board I go to so you should try that out. Here's a link to 3M's site...

If you want to protect the grill, why don't you get some bug screens from window screens and cover that? I've seen people do it and seemed like they hold up pretty well. If you want to protect the grill, try to do a search for speed grill on this site. It's very inexpensive and it'll give some protection for the radiator. Good luck!!

The 3M stuff Billy recomends is the "Clear Bra" that I talked about.

sweet!!!

Canadian Tire should have this 3M stuff right????
