what color should i paint the explorer?

not exactly sure if this is the right place to put this. if it needs to be moved, by all means do so.

the paint on my ex is really rough. it's going to get painted in the next week or so, but i'm having a hard time deciding on a color to paint it. not sure if i should do a gloss or flat finish either. i've kind of narrowed it down to a dark olive color or black. i was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions or maybe even some pictures of ideas.

i'm also going to be lifting it within the next month or so too... just like my old one.

Since it's already blue, you might consider just smoothing out the exterior and getting a shot of the same or similar factory color. Sometimes a non-metallic version of the same color can look pretty cool compared to factory metallics. The benefit of sticking with the same color is not having to redo the engine compartment, door jambs, and the rest of the interior which is all painted the factory color.

It can look pretty redneck, but for a budget paint job, some kind of spray bomb olive drab or camo is hard to beat. Satin black is always a winner.

Since it's blue, what about blue camo? I think it'd be pretty unique, and you'd only need 3 colors, since the blue of the truck would fit as one of the blues.

Mine is Estate Green. It's like dark olive. It's really darker than it looks. It's just shining in the sun. (lol)
