What could be wrong? (looking to buy)

Found a 91 Explorer XLT. He has a cheap price on it, says it stars but no gas getting to motor?! What could be wrong?

no gas in fuel tank
bad fuel pump
fuel pump fuse no good
fuel filter full of crap

could be a ton of things

worst case scenario its a fuel pump. best case scenario its out of gas or has a blown fuse for the fuel pump. Guessing probably not out of gas, usually the first thing you check when you have a fuel issue.

eh he got back to me, its gone, funny i knew who bought it... fuel pump relay shot, didnt have enough gas in it, fuel filter was so clogged nothing was getting through it
