What do you guys think about 35"

I am running 33" now and would like to go to 35" but will that be to high for my explorer? Im looking for a little more clearence under the diffs. Any help or advice would be great. oh yeah i would get a body lift of course.

I don't see why not, you have the gears to do it. How much clearance to you have right now between the wheels and fenders, then that would tell you how much you have to raise the body.

I'm going with 35s after I swap in the Dana 44. I have thought about doing it before the swap, but I'm already too hard on my wheel bearings and spindles.
 






35's will only lift you one inch, and will only be one inch closer to your fenders. I just went to 35's, after wheeling for several years with 33's, and on street driving with 37's. Go for it.
 






will i lose power if i go to the 35" tire because with these 4:56 gear i love being able to just craw up vertical hills
 






Yes; the 35's fit. However, you'll need to trim about 3" out of the front-rear fenderwells. I have 35's with 2" B/L, 5.5"S/L and 8" rims with 41/2" offset. My flares cover the area of the cut outs. The 8" rims make a big differenc in fit and I have enough room to sqeaze 38's next time.
