i'm thinking of getting them to replace my stock yellowed up lights. I thought about replacing the tail lights too, but I feel like all the aftermarket options look too ricey, and we've all seen those chevy tahoes with the euro lights. I like my aesthetic mods to be seamless with my vehicle; don't like it when they look too aftermarket.

I like these headlights though because they seem pretty clean. clear lens (hate the blurry lenses!!) with a black housing, I think it would be a good match for my dark grey 95.

The headlamps look good from what I can tell. They couldn't possibly be any worse than stock!
I'm actually shopping for housings too, I'll probably choose these. When you buy be sure to post some pictures so we can see the end result!

I had those , i buy the anzo brand though , not sure how strict your state inspection is but mine wouldnt pass the black ones , i ended up going with the clear chrome

I would think the black inside the headlight housing would reduce output when compared to an all chrome housing...

Ok here is my experience ,,, first of all I bought some clear "Euro" headlights before and they were crap the light came out like a spot light lol not saying these will do it but a risk to take, and if they don't have a dot stamp they won't pass my eBay corner lights I'm still using and they were eBay lights and they have a dot stamp my black tail lights also have the stamp and there cheap eBay jobs too but those actually might of been anzo brand. Also my led reverse lights although very bright and awesome I have to take them out to pass inspection as well as the plate illuminator lights so fiy some states even look at the bulbs in whether or not they are approved type.i scrapped the idea of hid head light conversion because my inspection guy (although fairly lieant and fair) told me he couldn't pass the hid set up.

WOW I think I will stay here in Colorado Springs. I do not even have imissions check. Now up in Denver (90 miles away) They do have those checks. Need to be done once every other year. Glad I do not have to deal with all that. I did when I lived in Texas and glad to be out of there. I also delt with it a little when living in Germany.

Oh man, when you posted "what about those headlights!?" I though you were talking about the latest centerfold!! Silly me!

(..sorry guys, couldn't resist.)

Yea Virginia kinda sucks I once had a shop even mic my rotors! ( Um sir.. sorry but your .004 out of spec..... Firestone! I want to slap those crooks.) Lol but luckily even know the safety inspection isn't that bad I don't have to pass emissions test but northern VA near DC does emissions. And my guy just does a safety check and the obvious stuff like offroad lights have to be covered etc... The biggest pain is just finding the time to take it in and deal with all that.

Any way back on topic I do like the look of those lights are they one piece or two?

mine turned yellow. Also the light output sucks even when they're new. its too blotchy/dead areas.

I kept my clear corner lights and have to restore them from time to time and ended up going with the oem replacements because the clear headlights we as you described no flood throw just a spot beam pretty much couldn't see $hit at night time it was like I was putting out the bat signal lol.

Those are the same light I wanted .... No inspections here in Florida and was planning on running led light bars. pointless to have headlight that have a poor output ...

I'm not saying that they all are crap it's just a risk to take. Id get hid projector lights if anything.

I hate the look of projectors . They are out of the question ...

Vikram, If you buy those we need a nice write up , install and light performance PLEASE !

I went with the projector style and love them.

I still don't understand the concept of tinted headlights. They are there so you can see at night. People don't drive at night with sunglasses on, or do they? LOL

i personally prefer clear lenses but with the tinted contrast on a grey paint color, it will blend nicely. Are you blacking out the grill & bezel housings to match? gloss or flat black?

I got the same smoke headlight assemblies and i think they look great.

I used those for my Morimoto mini projector retrofit. I bought mine off amazon, however. If you want superior light output then hid projectors are the only way to go. Halogen bulbs will never compare to hids, and led or hid bulbs installed in a halogen reflector will result in terrible light output that blinds other drivers. Led bars produce unfocused flood light that is also hazardous to other drivers. The only way to use them safely is to aim them directly at the ground in front of your bumper, which defeats the purpose. The Morimoto projectors look great on my X and I have better light output than some newer luxury cars. It’s a lot of work to retrofit projectors into reflector headlights but the result is amazing, especially when you first pull up to a wall and see how sharp the cutoff line is. If you’re going to use halogen bulbs then oem style headlights are the way to go.
