What does this bit do??

Seems like a silly question, but I got all exited and started cleaning out my x after a bit of off road work, and where the sun visors for the windscreen pivot and clip in, there are these aother "bits" that look like something else can be attatched just in front and below the visors at the top of the windscreen...hey I'm curious, and someone here is bound to know!!??

Also..factory floor mats in the front...mine has the retaining clip for the mat on the drivers side only, is there supposed to be one on the passenger side?

Its for another visor, if you unclip the main visor and move it to the side to block the sun coming in from the side window there is a second (at least on mine) visor that you can also put down in front of the windshield. I guess that what you are asking about.

Welcome to the site....

No passenger side Mat retainer clip...The Movement of pressing the brake and gas makes the mat creep up (hence the need for the retaing clip on the drivers's side).
