What else should I do to this car?

I have a 1998 Explorer. This is some of the significant things I've done to it:

Indiglo Gauges w/ neon needles

Philips Stage I Xenon HIDs w/ custom fog lights (Blazer driving lights w/ PIAA 85 watt bulbs)

Cross-drilled Slotted rotors w/ performance pads

Gibson Cat-back exhaust (SOHC)

Westin Safari bar w/ KC Daylighters

The infamous clear corners w/ Altezza tail lights

That's all that I have for now. What else do you think I should do to make this car better? Thanks for your opinions!

they're 15x8. I found that the best place to get them was summit. They had them the cheapest, including center caps and free shipping. My total shipped to my door was $397.00..

Hey jssong,

The rotors I got were only manufactured for the front. However, they are cross-drilled AND slotted, which makes it all good . I got them from http://www.jcwhitney.com/productnoitem.jhtml?CATID=137123&BQ=jcw2 and they cost $64.95 per rotor.

How about a billet grill or maybe custom painting the grill and light surrounds. I can't stand chrome, but you may like it. Hey maybe install a wood dash kit.

Both the billet grill and 20's are great ideas! The wood trim is another great idea. Although, I'm in college now, with no job. I'll just have to wait til the summer

lift it! how are those HIDs? i want to get some but im afraid that since the explorer housing isnt very good the HIDs wont make a huge difference. does it get more peripheral light?

Well I used to have 6000k HIDs. They were just too blue. They had some resemblance to those (no offense to anybody that has them) blue-coated halogen bulbs. The blue was just too intense! So, I downgraded to the 4300k HIDs. There are just two problems now. 1, they don't appear to have the same color as the cars with factory HIDs (perhaps the factory HIDs are 5000k, or projector lenses have an effect on how we see the color of the light). 2, you can't get projector headlamps for the Explorer. As a result, the Explorer's headlamps let some of the light go in the upward direction, annoying people in the oncoming direction. But, I refuse to aim my lights lower to avoid any of the light hitting oncoming drivers (or I wouldn't be able to see far enough ahead of me). The factory headlight housings do suck, but I would still recommend the upgrade if you feel like forking out the cash. I'll attach a picture of the infamous garage door shot that will show my 4300k's against my mom's low beam and high beams (they run simultaneously on e39 3 series). You can see that not even the combination of the low and high-beam halogens is a match for the HID lights.

As you can see from the picture, yes, the spread of the HIDs light up the peripheral area a bit better. However, if projector housings did exist, they would be ideal.
