I just got a 240 watt 2 channel amp and I was wondering what the best gauge of power/ground wire I should use. I was also wondering about the in line fuse for the power wire too, how many amps should I have there? If it makes any difference, there's a 10A fuse on the back of the amp. Thanks for any help

10 gauge is enough for it. 8 if you want room for upgrades later.
Yes you need an inline fuse. 25 amps max on 10 gauge. 30 on 8. You won't need more.

Keep in mind that if you plan to upgrade at any time in the future, it is better to overkill now with a larger gauge wire. Waste of money to buy smaller gauge at first, then have to pull that and buy larger gauge for an upgrade.

I would think 8 gauge would be fine, but I am no car audio expert...

1/0 GAUGE!!!! MORE POOOOWWWEEEERRR!!!! YOU NEED A 300AMP FUSE!!!!!! I'm only kidding though, I would do 8 gauge though, leave you room for a small upgrade later, I run a 500watt Alpine amp off of 8 gauge with no problems.

Thanks for the help everyone I think I can get it from here
