I need to get all new front supenstoin on my 93 but I don't have the $$$ to have it installed. What is involved in changing out the old for the new?

2wd or 4x4?

Also what do you mean you need all new suspension?

New coils, shocks, ball joints, U joints, bearings, rotors, calipers, rotors, spindles, and hubs?
Sway bar bushings, axle pivot bushings, and radius arm bushings?

If it is what 410Fortune said, that could be done over a weekend.

Its not really that hard IMO.

I change the radius arm bushings and ball joints, its not too bad.

it is a 4x4 and I want to replace shocks, ball joints, U joints, bearings. Is that hard to put in? Is it really expensive?

Shocks are a piece of cake. 1/2 an hour to do. Ball joints took me a full afternoon into evening. Plus I had to pound the old ones out and the new ones in. Are you going to replace the U-joints on your front driveshafts? Are they worn? Bearings are a piece of cake too.

Parts will be over 100 maybe about 150 for everything.

Get the maintenece manual for your truck.

It is not difficult to do with the right tools.
You will need a ball joint press and a spanner wrench for the spindle nuts at the very least.

You can also search for these. The replacement has been covered several times on this board.

There is good info here too:

ok thanks I'll havt to check that out.
