What is the best subwoofer?

Well I am in the market for a new high end subwoofer, 12" in size, that needs about 1200 RMS watts. Money really isnt too much of an issue, Im kinda going all out here. I just wanted to make sure there arnt any other subs that I should be looking at. Right now, I am seriously looking at the '03 Resonant Engineering 12" HC sub. Let me know if you guys know of any other extremely high end subs

Personally, I've heard 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect's pushed by a RF BD1000 and thought they sounded better than his later setup of 2 12" Audiobahn Flame 1206Q and their monster 1400 rms amp.

I've never heard a bad word about the JL W7's

EDIT: But then again, I guess these aren't extremely high end subs

I have a pair of Resonant Engineering 12 SE's and I LOVE them!!! I will recommend RE to anybody! My SE's only handle 600 RMS, but they rock! If I had the money, I would have gotten the HC's.

www.respl.com You can order them directly from the site. They are a rather new company(within the last year or 2 I believe) but they make some awesome subs!! I've had mine for about 3 months and won't recommend anything else!

when i was younger and read "auto sound and security" religiously, i sorta remember there was this type of sub that i saw that was totally unconventional of the cone, wire spider and voice coil method more common to about 99.9% of all auto speakers. it was just one big ol' cylindrical tube. in the middle of the cylinder is a square sheet that rotates axially like a fan. but supposedly it rotates fast enough to produce large amounts of volume change within the cylinder thus creating bass. i have no clue who made it our how good it was.

anyone have any clue what i am talkin about? or should this post be under the thread, "under the influence while posting"

Vairking, you really wouldn't consider servodrive? I assumed you weren't running competition. If you were, then i could understand. They are outlawed from IASCA. Just wasn't fair to everone else
