what is the differance between the 2 door and 4 door

heater hose blew and over heated the motor, and either cracked the head or blew the gasket on my 2002 explorer (4.0L)
i call a few scrap yards and they all tell me the the 2door. motor is differant then the 4door. motor. what is the differance? is it the bolt on stuff that make the differance? can i use the long block with my parts?

I've never heard of there being a difference between the 2dr and the 4dr. There is a difference in the 2wd and 4wd motors. One has a balance shaft and one doesn't.

The 4 door is an Explorer, and the 2 door is a completely different model, the Explorer Sport. The Sport is the same body style as the previous (2nd) generation. Both models however use the exact same engine and should be interchangable.
