Same exact thing, the seller prob. just found out that it works with the explorer as well but its still a fusion key. Oh and obviously buy the fusion one since you will be getting the same thing for $30 cheaper.
 






Thanks, thats what I thought. I just went ahead and bought the cheaper one since its gonna cost me $18 to get it cut anyway.
 






$18 is a lot of bucks to cut a key. Why so much? My local ACE hardware cut mine for free.
 






So the fusion keys/remote are the same for the Gen III explorer?
 






The transponder chip is the same in both keys, so it will work with the 3rd Gens. And Ace, Home Depot, etc would not touch my key.
 






^I called all the chain hardware stores around me and none of them would cut a car ket with a chip at all. There is one small local one I forgot to try. Also that guy ships really slow, just a warning to anyone who buys.
 






if you tell them you know you still have to program it then usually they will cut it. thats what i had to tell the guy at home depot.
