It is on the rail under the car, near the drivers side front wheel. It has a connector attached to it and the wiring on the connector goes to the fuel pump in the gas tank. Also, the fuel lines feed into it. Maybe a regulator or something?

Pictures or other description?

The only thing I can readily think of is that someone has put an old mid 80's BII/Ranger "dual" pump fuel system from a 2.9 into your '92. This system uses a low pressure pump inside the tank to get the gas out of the tank, then an inline high pressure pump (the part in question) to step the pressure up to spec. The 2.9 and 4.0 fuel systems both run at 40 psi, so I would this dual pump set up should work just fine in your 4.0. But it isn't "stock."

That's just a guess. I suppose it could also be one of those aftermarket "fuel saver" magnet things or who knows what. Pictures and further description would probably be needed for us to further speculate.

ok, i'll try to take some pictures...It has been raining a lot this week in Georgia, so i haven't had the chance

YES That thing, what is it? is it supposed to turn on? and how do i know if it works?

Thats the RABS module. Rear Anti-lock Brakes System. Those are brake lines, not fuel lines.
